Small wedding Venues Sunshine Coast

An emerging wedding trend is a lean into smaller more intimate weddings. We are seeing the traditional large weddings subsiding and people are seeing the importance of only having the very closest of family and friends with them on such a special day.

At Elope to Sunshine Coast, we have partnered with some amazing small venues, and we are very excited to be working with them to deliver gorgeous little weddings.

Today I'm going to share with you one of the venues that we adore and that is absolutely amazing and has the most wonderful hosts:

The Lakehouse Folk is set high on the hill in the beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland and has gorgeous rolling hills and stunning views of Lake Baroon. Standing on the property you feel like you are a million miles away and on top of the world!

Here are some of the reasons we love working here;

  1. Wedding and accommodation: Stay and relax and get married with up to 8 of your closest friends/family. The property has two beautiful period cottages, restored and revived with modern features and touches. Every detail has been thoughfully created so you can enjoy every moment of your special occasion. And did I mention a swimming pool?! Having a destination wedding is amazing and this way you aren't rushing all over town for each part of your day. Everything is in the one location and everyone can have a fabulous day altogether!

  2. The ceremony is down on the lawn on the hill and the owners supply the wedding arbour for you to marry in front of. All you need to organise is some florals to go on it (that is where we come in!)

  3. There is an option for you to have up to 30 guests for your ceremony and up to 20 to stay on and celebrate with you after your ceremony.

  4. Elope to Sunshine Coast can organise everything wedding related, celebrant, photographer, wedding planner/on day coordinator, flowers, mobile hair and makeup, catering and anything else you have on your wish list.

  5. The hosts Skye and James live in the stunning Queenslander that is to one side of the property and will be there at the drop of a hat. They have a few farm animals which of course you can't have a wedding without some snaps with the donkeys! And you might get some fresh eggs from the chooks.

  6. We love that the price is right for your intimate wedding! Keeping the costs to a minimum is of course a priority so we love that you aren't ploughing all your earnings into just one day.
